  • I love helping my clients define their personal style. Most of the clients I work with just don’t know how to do it anymore... Or they do, but they really don’t have the time... Or, they have some really good pieces, but they don’t know how to put them together... Or, they walk into a store and don’t know where to start.. .Or, they know exactly what they want and they just need help finding it. You get the idea. I think I have the coolest job in the world, for me.
     
    Jessie Carlson Wardrobe has been going for over 10 years. When Nordstrom decided to open their doors in Vancouver, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I joined the Nordstrom team in September and have had a ball dressing my clients, their husbands, and their children. There is something for everyone in the store.

    They are so good. And so fun. But, this post is not about how amazing Little Sister is, it’s about their style.

    Colleen Rennison, lead singer, darling. She is the queen of creative vintage, she brings it every time she is on stage.

    I am not suggesting that you need to go vintage shopping, at all. Especially if that is not your style. I am suggesting how amazing it is when you step into your style, live your style. Be, totally, who you are. Very powerful.

    If It Doesn’t Work, Let It Go

    I (we) are back. We arrived home a few days ago. It was amazing, unplugging was the best thing I have done in a while. Vacations are the second best thing, together they are heaven.

    Did you know that people in France take a significant vacation every three months? Just think about that for a minute or two.. And then think about how well dressed the French are.. I see a direct correlation.

    I suspect the French are a little better at maintaining their wardrobes, I don’t think the hang on to things that aren’t working for them. We do. I know this because at least 90% of the women I work with have too many things in their wardrobe. I love the Wardrobe Cleanse for that reason, we spend hours going through all your clothes, making piles of what works and what doesn’t.

    If you don’t love it now, and if it doesn’t fit now, let it go. Open up the space for the right pieces, this is my philosophy, which is quite french don’t you think?
